Behaviour in Secondary Schools

Purpose

The network responds to the expectation that every secondary school will be part of a behaviour collaborative.

Purpose of the network:

To improve attendance and behaviour by:

• Agreeing on a Vision Statement which works on the principle that every child is the collective responsibility of every school in the partnership in line with the ECM agenda
• Monitoring the effectiveness of 'alternative' provision on offer to schools
• Sharing good practice
• Developing our understanding of outside agencies who support behaviour/learning and attendance

  The behaviour collaborative will work together to develop a Work Programme for 2008/09

• Training for support staff in behaviour management
• Behaviour policies - what works and what doesn't work
• Current behaviour strategies - evaluate
