To provide training and support for attendance staff with enhanced level of challenge that improves:

• their skills and knowledge of working with families and pupils
• their understanding of the legal requirements for taking families to court

and leads in each school to sustained improvement in attendance and attainment for relevant pupils.

Development of a more challenging 4 day training programme which would enable attendance staff to work in partnership with an EWO ensuring their work can contribute to legal proceedings where necessary

Termly network meetings – supporting action research groups to develop practice

Access to NVQ level 3 or 4 in Learning, Support and Development for EWOs
