To provide subject support,
building on the LIG work already carried out:
- Supporting curriculum development and response
to national changes
- Sharing learning and teaching expertise and strategies
- Providing access to expertise within the group
of schools, enabling support to be provided where necessary
- Stimulate innovation and links between schools.
Subject specialists will meet to share practice and
provide support as outline above.
Networks for Maths, English, Science and ICT will
be set up in the Autumn term 2006.
Networks for foundation and vocational subjects will
be initiated in Spring 2007.
Where possible the network leaders for each subject
will be drawn from schools specializing in the subject.
Schools will synchronise meeting times to enable these
meetings to take place. |
